Business People Finding Holes in Sanctions of Russian Entities

US President Donald J Trump with American business is pushing envelopes on potential ultra lucrative trade deals with Russia before a ceasefire and just peace have been agreed on with Ukraine.

Novatek Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Facility

A number of US businesspeople are pursuing potentially lucrative opportunities from the Russian side.

For example, US private businessman and investor Gentry Beach has been engaged with Novatek’s Russian billionaire Leonid Mikhelson regarding a joint effort to liquify, export and to sell refined LNG from Northern Alaska, including the Northern Sea.

Mikhelson is under sanctions in UK, Canada and EU but amazingly not in US and hence the likely agreement in Alaska and elsewhere.

Russians are also querying interlocutors at all levels and in all areas to shop lucrative future transactions related to this deal and others.

Beach said to the NYTimesApp that the inability of the US to fully sanction Mikhelson and Novatek led him to embark on future transactions using Novatek liquidation technology in Alaska.

He added that those that get in on deals early well before the process begins seem to make the most money.
