Riding in Madison, WI this week. I am amazed and thoroughly enjoy the robust infrastructure that has made Madison a platinum cycling city and a top five cycling city in the US.
This blog is only the start of covering the vast infrastructure in the region.
The first photo is the lake shore path at Monona Terrace. To the left is Lake Monona. To the right is the Monona Terrace. This path is also part of the Lake Loop that takes riders around Lake Monona through various interesting spaces.
Especially when you admire the glass terrace (like a space ship) reaching out over the path, you may realize that this is the work of Wisconsin native and internationally renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright who developed the design in 1938 for government, cultural and recreational events, exhibitions and meetings.
So many years of discussing the project has made the final impression of the building an especially amazing and stunning addition to the lake front.
