Cycling with People in Special Scenery

I think one of the things I enjoy most about cycling is the scene that takes shape when riding. Walkers, runners and other users make cycling more entertaining and interesting. They also provide a sense of community.

It’s interesting how space determines behavior to a significant extent. One example, in the city where I ride no one waves. But outside the city in the countryside cyclists wave at one another to greet each other.

Nature also provides interesting moments throughout the year. Smells of the seasons increase in intensity with one’s riding prowess from the distinct, fresh smell of manure being spread on fields in the countryside in early spring to the tantalizing rustic smell of fallen and falling leaves during long autumnal rains.

I enjoy the orchestra of colors and smells emanating from wide variety of plants and flowers in later spring and summer. Magical mint gives May majesty. Roses of course add there especially sweet smell to the concert.

Many riders hang up their bicycles in late fall and winter and miss out on the blessings of uplifting rides on two wheels in the winter season.

For example, brilliantly sunny days on trails and roads covered in freshly fallen perfectly white snow offer special scenery that brings ecstatic joy to cyclists through late fall and winter.
