I’ve invested in a Prius C using my savings from commuting by bicycle over the last several years.
I’m excited to have a hybrid that’s electric in town with 53 mpg and 49 mpg highway.
I’m trading in my trusty and slightly rusty 1998 Honda CRV as part of the deal. It’s served me reliably and very well. I’ve been able to carry my bike and a friend’s on the roof or in the back for multimodal riding.
I don’t plan on changing my riding or driving habits with the addition of the Prius C. I’ve driven just under 4000 miles and I have ridden just over 3700 miles in 2023. Next year I’ll focus on riding more than I drive.
I’ve enjoyed commuting by bicycle (and Burley trailer with equipment) to work each day and riding on all errands that are within cycling distance.
I keep and maintain three bicycles safe in my apartment out of the harsh elements.
