After grocery shopping this morning, I hit the path riding at 10:11 AM. The weather was warming up to approximately 80F at the end of the ride.
There was a cool breeze on the bike as I pedaled to Commerce and Sherman on the first loop of the ride. Breezes on the wheel are especially refreshing in the hotter months of summer here.
I’m looking forward to getting out earlier maybe 7 AM that is my work start time. I’m aiming for 8 AM at the latest to enjoy cooler early summer mornings a bit before fitness ensues.
Today I completed the arboretum loop of approximately 19 miles. There are some very small hills on the route that nevertheless make me stronger.
Inside the green prism I saw not only cleanly swept bike lanes where I requested, but also glistening white lines that border the bike lanes on my eastern loop. I personally thanked, in a note, streets for their commitment and hardwork in maintaining cycling and pedestrian infra in our town.
