Pedaling with light strokes and entering into an orbit around town. My ride really gets me up and out in the morning and throughout the day.
I’m able to commute to my place of employment where I participate in community with other cyclists too. I greet young parents as they ride past me on cargo bicycles carrying children or pull burleys with small children.
In my routine of riding every weekday, I develop more energy and stamina for various tasks.
Of course we all may know about the benefits of chemicals our bodies produce on the wheel or at aerobic exercise, including endorphins, adrenaline, serotonin, dopamine inter alia.
But there is also a lightness and looseness for example when doing household chores, including cleaning dishes and sweeping up.

Something interesting happened on the ride home yesterday. I was continuing on riding on a nearby utility path when I noticed that the path had been blocked by the large pickup truck and trailer of the homeowner of the adjacent property.
I tried to get around him and continue on to my place of employment but there was no room to pass. The truck was vacant. He came out. We had words.
I’m filing an official complaint with the local police.
