Fighting Back After Crash

Fuji Absolute 1.7 on Last Winter’s Commute

My Fuji commuter “crashed” on Friday. My sense was the chain ripped off the rear derailleur while I was riding to my commitment. I found the chain back 30 yards. Upon further investigation, the frame was compromised and unweldable.

And I fought back. I took a day to think and came to the decision that I needed to continue to fight like hell for this lifestyle where commuting with a bicycle continues to be my inspiration and lifestyle centerpiece that drives everything. I ponied up and pulled the trigger on a Trek FX.

IndyCars Fueled By 100% Renewable Racing Fuel

Cheers to IndyCars and IndyCar fans for supporting 100 percent renewable racing fuels that include sugarcane waste, ethanol, etc. These fuels may likely save transportation in climate change.

My aim is to brand these highly efficient fuels and similar fuels to eliminate deadly emissions especially from diesel and other less efficient, poisonous gas combustion engines and help save the planet. Remember transportation causes over 50% of climate change.

No one can underestimate the acute value of clean air to cycling as well as all other active transportation modes. We need to breathe pure air to thrive and to achieve. Dirty and poisonous air make us very sick and diminish significantly positive returns on active transportation.

We breathe air in like nobody else. If it’s not pure, we can suffer physically, cognitively and emotionally. When the air is pure, it is an awesome stimulus in pursuit of our various endeavors.
