Tadej Pogacar broke the ascent record on the Alpe d’ Huez in Stage 19 of the TdF on July 24 on his way to winning a historic fifth TdF championship in 2026.
We’re riding in the Northwestern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan all this week. We look forward to it for its beauty and splendor every year.
Today, Tuesday, I rode part of the TART trail and the Leelanau Trail. Après de Trajet, I dived in to swim in Grand Traverse Bay West-End to invigorate and relax in the warm sun.
On Wednesday we rode some of the TART in Traverse City on our way out to the Leelanau Trail and Sutton’s Bay. We stopped, rested and drank water a couple of times on the way to Sutton’s Bay.
We ended the out of the out and back at scenic and pristine Sutton’s Bay beach. We went swimming and laid out for an hour or so and then found a cafe for cold brews before stopping at the Grocer for yogurt and electrolyte drinks and heading back to complete the annual trip. This year was our fifth annual ride.
