During the broadcast of the TdF this week, a medical professional talked about the importance of giving the racers cherry juice immediately after a stage.

She said it is not surpassed for amount of anti-oxidants and effectiveness that help broken- down muscles rebuild with sound sleep of at least 9 hours per night.
In August we ride in northern Michigan where there are many cherry orchards. Some farmers sell the cherries from a wagon on the honor system. I’ll eat even more now and sooner too.

About halfway through TdF, I can say as an authority that I love both the rides on the flats through amazingly beautiful river valleys decorated with medieval chateaus, unique villas, breathtaking churches and unsurpassed castles as well as the cresting of summits as cyclists weave through wild spectators on amazing ascents followed by deeply dangerous dare-devil descents with awe-inspiring panoramic views.

In my mind streaming TdF on Peacock is worth every cent. The coverage of the race and accompanying landscapes and sceneries is unsurpassed and inspires.
