The situation in Kyiv is growing darker with more doom by the day. Russia has stepped up drone and missile attacks on the Ukrainian capital’ energy supply that until has until now remained relatively unscathed since the second Russian invasion in 2014.

The Iron Dome air defence is weakening and on the brink of collapse while the Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko has been calling on allies to critically step up their desperately needed supplies to help Ukrainians and to protect and to defend them from the onslaught of drones and missiles in wintertime that threaten to freeze and to starve Kyivites into untold suffering and submission.
The Russians are targeting non-military energy supply locations throughout the region and in violation of International Law as these targets are non-military, including natural gas, coal and electrical plants.
The bombings are thought to paralyse the morale of innocent civilians as well as Russia remaining on the offensive with peace negotiations and especially security guarantees looming, including a demand by Russia for borders where Russian troops are presently located which would аnnex significant Ukrainian territory pre-2014 to Russia.

Most legal experts believe these relentless, ongoing attacks are a violation of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) because it devastates living conditions for people causing them extreme duress and untold suffering.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has even issued warrants of arrest for a number of Russian individuals believed responsible for these civilian atrocities, including Russian President Vladimir V. Putin.
Ukrainian civilians affected by these attacks largely want Ukraine to make peace, according to the NYTimes App, with territorial losses so they are no longer bombed and significantly inconvenienced to incalculable suffering, hunger and cold in the cold winter with no heat, limited water and dwindling food supplies.
Many Kyivites have been left with no choice and as a result forced to desperately flee the capital to stay with friends or relatives in outlying areas or even further away.
