Observing and Improving @ 10K

As you likely know, diet is crucial to cycling and aerobic activity in general. They say eat to ride but never ride to eat.

That being said I have added Kachava super food to my healthy diet. Supplements include Omega-3, probiotics, plant-based proteins, antioxidants and essential vitamins and minerals.

Dietary Supplement

Follow rules of the road and trail etiquette when using roads and trails respectively. I am always surprised that road and trail users do not follow rules and etiquette respectively.

Just today a runner was running against traffic on a multi-use path and was dangerous to other users. He needed to be running with the traffic on the far right side of the path.

I regularly see riders riding against road traffic on a single-lane bike lane. This is dangerous. Always ride with traffic on roads on the far right three feet of the road.

One-Way Protected Bicycle Lane

Consider not using ear pods or other listening devices when on the wheel of your bicycle. Hearing around you while on the wheel is a critical sense to protect us from danger, including from dangerous and distracted drivers.

Campaign Signage for Safer Streets

I was pleased to see more 20 mph Slower is Safer signage in the neighborhood where my place of employment is located. Cities like Seattle have already proven this adage and made most side streets 20 mph speed limits.
