Reuniting Again With Fair-Weather Ride

I had an interesting commute or errand-ride from my residence to the store and on to the post office this past Saturday morning.

Preparing for Shopping Errand

I was sending someone a card in a small but meaningful fresh-air transaction with wheels spinning to a successful conclusion.

As I left the post office, I zoomed in on two bikes left for the moment by their owners next to the entrance. I was very happy to see kindred bicycles on my path that day.

As we push down harder on our pedals and dig deeper into improving climate with safer and better air, soil and water qualities, we find ourselves uncovering more complex relationships among variables regulating Earth’s climate today.

Bering Strait

For example, scientists have discovered that the absence of a 50-mile dam corridor in the Bering Strait likely increases substantially the probability of collapse of a critical network of ocean currents or AMOC that regulates the Earth’s climate from this critical region.

I was very pleased to find two additional bicycles parked in front of the new Collectivo. I may still be unthawing from riding all winter, but commuters continue to give me a genuine smile.
