We have been discussing the critical role of heart in bicycle riding, commuting and any high-aerobic activity. For me, heart is love and as a result the most powerful force in our world.

It has gotten and continues to get me through rides in difficult weather as well as great pain.
Some say if you truly love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. Bicycle commuting is like that for me.
Loving the ride is active and takes all of one’s senses to more deeply and wholly appreciate one.

I decided to vote early when I saw a vote-here sign this morning while I was out on a ride with my bicycle. It’s always nice to get that crucial civic duty performed and out of the way sooner rather than later and with the bicycle as transport.

While the transition to ebuses is long overdue and more than welcome, it is transpiring at a slower than safe pace.
Only 1/3 of the cities 133 buses are electric meaning 2/3 are still causing grave harm to city streets and microclimates and further diminishing the quality of life with thick plumes of deadly diesel exhaust.
These ongoing emissions nationwide are a major reason the US just had its hottest summer on record by a significant amount. We all know that transportation emissions cause over half of global warming.

Furthermore Trump 2.0 withdrawal from the Paris Accord and at the same time reckless pursuit of deadly fossil fuels after Joe Biden and Democrats worked tirelessly within the UN Climate Change framework to begin several years of reduced temperatures to save us and our planet is causing dangerous and alarming increases in global warming along with consequences, including SLR.
Of course we need to focus on reducing and eliminating deadly fossil fuel use and emissions with more than worthy alternatives and technology, including solar, wind, hydropower and nuclear, waiting in the wings to improve our quality of life and save the planet.
We cannot cowtail anymore to interests of a corrupt few who have never had our interests or our nations interest at heart.
We cannot continue increasing emissions, as Trump 2.0 did this past year, which causes increased global temperatures. People in hotter climates can no longer afford to pay their skyrocketing energy bills according to NYTimesApp.
At the beginning of each week, I test the air pressure or PSI on my commuter tires. I’m finding they lose 20 psi each approximately 100-mile week of riding. I topped them both off at 80 psi. As you may know, proper pressure protects tires from puncture.
