I am just ramping up my ride to academic-year levels after taking a full and complete one-week hiatus from riding a bicycle.

I had been in the habit of coping with life in part with bicycle rides. But instead of riding, I most recently I have been coping in different ways to be more dynamic and versatile.
For example, I walked a bit around the neighborhood at various lengths from approximately one hour to two hours and surpassing the WHO guidelines below.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that adults get at least 150 to 300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity, such as brisk walking, per week. Spread this out to 30 minutes a day for example.
I can say that my joints and muscles stopped aching for most of the day after approximately 30 minutes of high aerobic activity.
High aerobic activity like bicycle riding and walking temporarily heel muscle and joint pain by creating, e.g., adrenaline, endorphins and serotonin.
