Riding With Hopes of Early Spring

This past week overcame smoothly and successfully an obstacle to my freedom of movement on a bicycle.

I was ready to leave early on Thursday morning when I rolled my Fuji Absolute 1.3 out onto the floor of my apartment and immediately noticed the tire was punctured.

I thought calmly for a moment about my contingencies to make it on time. I came down to the Prius C hybrid and made it in plenty of time with all my gear and equipment in tow.

Moreover on my way to my residence I stopped at a large retailer that was open and acquired six inner tubes made by concord a new-to-me brand.

They were less than five US dollars each and have copious, changing-a-flat instructions for beginners only on the box.

I changed my flat in just under 20 minutes. Sometimes I enjoy timing me to make installs more interesting and as a result appreciate the professionals who do this for a living.

The commutes this time of year are especially lovely in twilight to sunrise with spectacular reflections on the relatively clear frozen ice on lakes, rivers and various waterways.
