Ringing in December on the Wheel

Yesterday morning I spent approximately one hour truing my rear wheel on the Fuji commuter bicycle.

I noticed some mild wobbling of the wheel during a recent flat-tire change. I have a table truing stand. It’s portable for travel and compact for storage.

I focused my very limited time on the areas of the wheel that wobbled the most. I was successful in improving the character of the wheel before my essential commute earlier today.

This morning the temperature dropped to uncustomarily cold 10F on the commute in to my commitment.

I layered appropriately with a thermal baselayer and only a high-viz hoodie for outer gear.

I also responded to these conditions with two layers, including fashionista mittens and heavy reflective gloves with handwarmers underneath the base mittens.

I prefer quality high viz clothing to be seen by any traffic. From time to time I have also worn quality bio-motion clothing.

People often times ask what I do on the wheel. This morning, for example, I was involved in a foreign language acquisition seance. I held well my seven new words in two languages throughout the ride and beyond using methods, including repetition.
