This early morning’s ride was especially exhilarating for a few reasons. First and foremost the early morning twilight was magical.

The hues of bright pink contrasting with the deep dark blues of the sky were a phenomenal contrast.
Second, I have realized that I am especially fortunate that all five miles of my commute are on exclusively protected bikeway. This offers a safe and scenic ride with special views of downtown and adjacent areas.
Third, as I pull a Burley trailer on le Trajet, I am training and getting stronger with my load. Today, I passed a road-bike rider with room to spare. This helps mentally when I pull out the road bike which seems especially light and fast.
