On Taco Tuesday, I spun lightly along my commute route appreciating all the corresponding spaces.
Deciduous tree canopies of leaves were just triumphantly turning color from green to golden tips.
Golden leaves were decorating trees and already whirling to the ground, the first of this blessed season, on the bicycle boulevard as sensuous autumnal breezes picked up.

This past Thursday 21 states filed an appeal in the DC Court of Appeals over Trump 2.0 illegal repeal of power plant regulations and emissions.
The Calvin wave has hit the California coast this week powered by El Niño and causing SLR of up to half a foot with concomitant threat of flooding to shorelines, property damage, etc, according to NYTIMESAPP.

A new friend and daily commuter is considering riding this winter for the first time. I suggested Marathon Winter Plus snow tires that run just north of USD 100 each.
Their unparalleled performance on snow and ice is worth every penny. Safety first.
I also suggested durable aluminum fenders especially to keep one’s backside clean from slush, dirt and water. Their term is far longer than plastic ones and therefore offer more value.

With the recent rain and upcoming autumnal rain showers, please be especially alert of slippery leaves on paths and trails, etc.
Leaves become wet and heavy and fall to the wet pavement where they are dangerously slippery. Please turn and brake with caution especially when you are riding on top of them.

I’m refining my mindfulness skills to mind the roads I am riding. For the unencumbered, mindfulness in bicycling to me means focusing ones cognitive abilities on body extremities like feet, hands, legs, etc.
This is helpful in minding the road by making us more connected and in tune with our bodies when riding more safely.
I wouldn’t recommend riding with headphones. Hearing is a critical defense we have from traffic and other trail users to keep us safe at all times. Enjoying all of our senses in nature makes riding more rewarding.

I was proud to review my views for September. Many thanks for reading! I really do appreciate you so. Riding on!
